The Swindon Wildcats broke their unwanted run of defeats on Sunday evening with a great 4-3 victory over the Sheffield Scimitars.   After a slow start with the game scoreless after the first period, the cats went two nothing up early in the 2^nd period with goals from Alan Green and Josef Kohut, only for the home side to pull 2 goals back before the end of the period.

The Cats began the 3^rd period with all guns blazing, and a goal from Aaron Nell and a 2^nd from Kohut put them 4-2 up going into the last 10 minutes of the game.  The Scimitars managed to claw a final goal back in the last minute but the Wildcats hung on to a 4-3 lead to claim a much needed victory.

Peterborough Phantoms are the next visitors to the Link Centre on Saturday 10^th October 2009 with a 17.45pm face off.  The 2008/09 EPL champions have found this seasons EPL tough going so far so the Wildcats will be looking to gain the upper hand over their rivals on Saturday.
