The Swindon Wildcats Ice Hockey club will be showing their appreciation for workers at the towns Great Western Hospital on Saturday by offering them Free entry for their home game against Peterborough Phantoms on Saturday at the Link Centre.

The teams General Manager Steve Nell Commented “ The Hospital has looked after and cared for many injured ice hockey players, as well as fans and family members over the years and their staff do a tremendous job and we would like to reward them for their efforts and welcome them to the Link Centre for a great night of Ice Hockey entertainment on Saturday.  We all know what a hard job theirs can be and we want them to know how the Swindon Wildcats and the local community appreciate them.

Staff from the hospital as well as the other workers within the NHS just need to show their staff pass at the Voucher collection point, opposite main reception at the Link to collect their ticket.  Face off on Saturday is at 5.45pm and should be another feast of fast furious ice Hockey action. This offer is subject to availability.

This offer coincides with the Great Western Hospitals open day which takes place on Saturday between 10am and 3pm.  The hospital is opening their doors to gives those who may be unfamiliar with the Great Western Hospital, plus staff and their families the opportunity to see what they do, and the facilities that they offer.

There will be numerous stands, displays and stalls along with tours of theatres, plant rooms and radiology, plus new for this year there will be a “Teddy Bears Clinic”.  They will also have a children’s area, with face painting, toys and a sensory table.  For the adults there will be Reiki, hand/arm massage, Indian head massage, and henna painting to name just some of the many attractions on the day.
