| Wildcats are not scared of the Phantoms! |
|
This Saturday the Swindon Wildcats take to the ice against the Peterborough Phantoms for the third time this season on home ice. The Wildcats will be looking to end a poor run of late, whilst the Phantoms look to carry on their unbeaten run, beginning from before the New Year. The home side have now had a week to build on their performances with newly appointed assistant coach Simon Anderson, working with the team in and aim to gain some results and climb the league table by the end of the season. Peterborough currently sit sixth in league with 34 points, however with pressure from teams around them and only a point separating them and Sheffield below, both teams will be looking for some much needed points to keep chase in the playoff race. Swindon will be without their first pick netminder (Geoff Woolhouse) this weekend due to a suspension call picked up last weekend; this as well as being given a 2 week notice from the club seen from a press release earlier this week. The Wildcats have had some promising performances of late with no results to show so they will be looking to unleash this potential on Saturday and then away at Manchester on Sunday evening. Tickets are on sale now from Link Centre main reception, by telephone on 01793 886857 or online through the Wildcats' website, www.swindonwildcats.com. |
