On Saturday Swindon will play the first of their two home fixtures for the weekend when they face third in league side, the Guildford Flames.
Having picked up a crucial win last weekend and an important overtime point, Swindon are now just two points behind local rivals Bracknell and with it, earning a last playoff spot. Although the Bees look to have the easier run into the end of the season, Swindon’s newly found sense of confidence and ability to score have left them with a good chance of ending the season in the best possible form.
Coming into Saturday’s game Guildford look to be correcting a run three games without a win whilst Swindon bring the momentum of earning five points in their last four games.
With any luck the Wildcats could take one if not both points from Saturday’s game to then line them up perfectly, when they take to the ice against the Slough Jets the following evening to finish their home fixture double header weekend.
