This Wednesday with Swindon Wildcats will open their 2011/12 season with an initial challenge game against local rivals the Slough Jets in a midweek feature. With both sides making various changes both on and off the ice within the off-season, this will be the first time in which both sides can see how these adjustments have affected their teams.

It will also be the first time for fans to see their newly formed teams ahead of the new campaign in what is looking to be a great opening fixture between two historically rival sides.
Swindon will be welcoming various new signings to the roster including two leading imports in Michal Pinc and Jaroslav Cesky as well as familiar faces Nicky Watt, Shane Moore and promising youngster Paul Swindlehurst.

Be sure to catch these signings together with the likes of Jonas Höög, James Knight and Jan Melichar when the two teams meet on the 14^th in the first challenge game of the new season.
