Crisp & Buglass Depart The Cats

Swindon Wildcats are sad to announce Michael Crisp and Callum Buglass will not be returning for the 2017/18 season.

Michael was serving his second spell with the Wildcats having re-joined the club during the summer of 2016. He previously spent two years at the club between 2013-2015 as well, providing a capable understudy to Stevie Lyle during his time in the Wildcats jersey.

‘Crispy’ became a valuable member of the locker-room and never let anything faze him. Most notably when he started the first game of the 2017 EPL play-off campaign following the late illness of Stevie Lyle.

Callum joined the Wildcats at the start of 2014/15 season after working his way through the Cardiff Devils junior system. During his three seasons in Swindon Callum iced in 102 EPIHL games before his final season in Swindon came to a sad end suffering a season ending injury in Hull.

Speaking about the departures, Player Coach Aaron Nell added:

“It is sad to see Crispy go; he was a great person and was great in the dressing room. Everyone liked him Swindon and we are truly sad to see him go. We’d like to thank him for his time in Swindon and wish him the best of luck for the future.

We are disappointed not to have Callum back but we hope he has a good season and we wish him luck for the future and thank him for his efforts in a Wildcats jersey over the last three seasons.”

Everyone at the Wildcats would like to thank Michael & Callum for their time in Swindon and wish them the best of luck for the future.
