Club Introduce New Game Night Announcer

Current Sponsor and Super Fan To Take On Role As Game Night Announcer

The Swindon Wildcats are delighted to announce that supporter [and sponsor of Stevie Lyle] Leigh Keepence has been confirmed as the club's new Game Night announcer for the 2016-17 season.

Leigh is well known locally as the joint owner of the mobile disco company Top Hat Entertainments, which he co-runs with his wife [Jen] and is a long-term Wildcats fan!

“Hopefully the Wildcats fans will all be behind me,” he told ahead of the season getting underway at the end of this month.

“I’m aiming to inject some more fun into it and help push the already fantastic Game Night atmosphere at the rink even higher!”

The part-time DJ is looking forward to bringing a new perspective to Game Days, and it’s a role that the self-proclaimed Wildcats fan is thoroughly looking forward to.

“It’s quite a responsibility but it’s also a real honour to have been asked to be the Game Day announcer for my hometown club… it’s also quite scary at the same time," he added.

“Fingers crossed I’m going to be able to get the crowd going before the game and during each interval, keep them entertained and get them bouncing for the hockey.

"The fans have a massively important role to play and we need to get them up for all the games.

“I’m really looking forward to the new season getting underway and a new challenge!”

Speaking about the club's new game night announcer, Wildcats Marketing Manager Sally Price said: "Speaking on behalf of everyone at the Swindon Wildcats we are thrilled to welcome Leigh on board as our 16/17 announcer!

"He is an amazing DJ, a massive Wildcats fan and a supportive sponsor - he has so much to bring to the table!

"I cannot wait to see him in action."
