Pair Return To Wildcats

Richardson and Moore added for another term

The Swindon Wildcats have confirmed that utility player Lee Richardson and D-Man Shane Moore have both been re-enlisted for the 2014-15 English Premier Ice Hockey League campaign.

Their return was revealed exclusively at Saturday afternoons Wildcats Street Hockey tournament which was held at the Link Centre and both players were available for photographs and autographs on the day.

Speaking to Swindon Advertiser reporter Michael Reeves, head coach Ryan Aldridge about the pairs return, Aldridge said: “Having him [Richardson] back adds experience to our line and it is nice to have a homegrown player playing for us and someone who has been around for a long time.

“The thing with Lee, which is a massive, massive plus, is that he is prepared to play anywhere, forward or defence, and he can play forward or defence.

“Last year some games he was playing both so it is good to have someone who can jump into either spot and isn’t going to sulk about it.

“Shane was outstanding, last year he played hard, I thought that he really stepped up with the fighting side of it.

“To have him back is great, he is another guy you like to have around in the locker room. The fans absolutely love him, he is a fan favourite.”

The club are also delighted to announce that both players have aready secured sponsorship for the 2014-15 season, with Wildcats supporters Chris and Denise Chiffers kindly opting to take on the Lee Richardson official Player Sponsorship title, while Stuart and Chris Latham take the same title for Shane Moore.

We thank all four supporters for their continued support of the Swindon Wildcats.
