For the final time in the 2025/26 the Wildcats fans will gather at the Link Centre, but this time we’re celebrating the career of one of the greatest Wildcats to play in the jersey. This weekend is the Aaron Nell Testimonial Game held at the Link Centre.
We’ve put together 5 reasons why you CANNOT miss this event!
1) SO MANY LEGENDS. From Ryan Aldridge, to Shane Moore. From Jonas Hoog to Jan Kostal. Some of the BIGGEST names in franchise history are coming back to Swindon and you’ll see them on the ice! Sure, some might be a little slower than they used to be, but the smile on their faces will make up for that!
2) STEVE NELL. Our Managing Director is lacing up for (what might be) the final time. We’re saying might be, because who knows what’ll happen one day! But don’t risk it, get your tickets and see the Original Nell back on the ice!
3) TOURNAMENT HOCKEY. Round Robin action, Semi-Finals, Grand Final, and if we can find something, maybe even a trophy for the winners! This style of event is not to be missed and doesn’t happen all that often so don’t hesitate and pick a team, after all there’s four to choose from!
4) PRE-GAME MEET. With the list of players attending, there is no way we could not have a pre-game meet up with everyone. You’re all welcome from 3:30PM in Studio 1 to chat and meet the players BEFORE they get ready for the game. We encourage you ALL to attend this, because, frankly we can’t promise how many will be standing after their games!
5) 129 DAYS. September is around 130 days away, this is your LAST CHANCE to get a Wildcats hockey fix until Autumn. Whatever plans you might have had, you’ve got chance to move them into the summer.
Truthfully, there are loads of reasons to be at the Link Centre on Saturday night. The main one is to celebrate Aaron, skating off into retirement as a league champion!
