It’s time to go bowling folks! You can now reserve your place for our first bowling event of the season by emailing the Supporters Club or you can wait for Saturday and put your name down at the desk. The all-important day is Tuesday 21st October, we have reserved 12 lanes and we want to fill them up so don’t leave it too long. The fun starts at 6.30pm, you’ll get 2 games and you’ll be bowling with the Wildcats.

We’re expecting a lot of interest so we’ll compile a list based on the time your email/request comes in, so if you’re late or we’re over-subscribed then we may not be able to accept your booking. Payment can be made by bank transfer (include ref BOWL-your name) or by cash/card at the SC desk sometime before the 21st. It’s £12.00 per member, or £15 if you’re not a member.

Now for something new. October is synonymous with Halloween and we always try to do something for the younger members to celebrate this spooky time of year. We’ve been inspired by Jed and Ethan, 2 young lads who recently asked Plewsey and Logan to sign their pumpkin. If they can do it, then why can’t we, so this year we’re asking for your drawings or carvings on a real pumpkin.

We don’t want your pumpkin, please, please keep it at home, but do take a photo of your drawing or carving and send it to the Supporters Club email, or share it in the comments section of the post we’ll be putting out. You can draw or carve anything, but make it hockey or Wildcats related, and remember to include your first name and age. Josh Shaw is the Scratch Club members’ favourite player, so we’ll ask him to choose a winner. Good luck with that Josh! The prize is a ceremonial puck drop which can be taken on any available date, and the winner will also have their photo taken with Josh. Anyone can share their pumpkin drawings or carvings, even the grown-ups, just don’t be surprised if someone much younger than you wins!

Time to get booking, get drawing and get carving. Strike-out.
