The Bespoke Guardians Swindon Wildcats are proud to announce that the 2026/27 season will mark a major milestone in the club’s history as we celebrate 40 years of ice hockey in Swindon. Since first taking to the newly built Link Centre in 1986, generations of players, coaches, volunteers, sponsors and supporters have helped shape the club over the years in the Southwest.


Supporters can look forward to:


- A Swindon Wildcats Legends Game, bringing together former players and fan favourites from across the four decades.


- Exclusive retro-inspired jerseys and merchandise celebrating the anniversary.


- Opportunities to celebrate the club's 40th anniversary with players, past and present.




A WEEKEND YOU WON’T WANT TO MISS


Friday 16 October 2026 | Legend's Fanfest | Swindon Wildcats vs. Leeds Knights | This game is included in our 26/27 Season Tickets. We will host legends from across the years at the game and start the weekend of celebrations of the club. 


Saturday 17 October 2026 | 40th Anniversary Legends Game | Current team vs The Legends team, with many more familiar Wildcats faces around the Link Centre for a night of celebration.


This night will have a pre-game schedule including a meet & greet with the players in Studio 1, live music, food & drink available ahead of the game, followed by post-game drinks at the Harvey. This game is an extra game the Wildcats are hosting and will not be included in our season tickets, but our current season ticket holders will have first access to reserve their seats.


 


Head Coach Aaron Nell discusses the 40th Anniversary of the club:
