2025/26 is shaping up to be a great season for the Wildcats. We’re not done yet, there’s still so much to play for, and whilst some of you are talking about the league and play-offs, the Supporters Club is also focused on wrapping the season up. If results go our way, this could be the biggest party in town for years, so how shall we celebrate? There’s only one answer to that, it’s the End of Season Awards Night, and it’s being held at The Doubletree Hilton Hotel at Junction 16, on Friday 24th April, and yes, you’re all invited.

The evening will be even more special this year because it’s Aaron’s final season as a player, and if we finish the season strong and do well in the play-offs, then we’ll all have lots to celebrate. It’s also a great way to celebrate with the players, staff, volunteers and off-ice team who have worked so hard all season, and let’s be honest, we could all do with letting our hair down after another intense season!

The evening will start with a brief round-up of the season, a few thank yous and awards, plenty of laughs, and this will be followed by a lovely 2-course meal service. There’s no chicken dinner this year; we’ve challenged the chef to change it up a bit, and we like what he’s come up with. We’re sure you’ll like it too.

The awards this season are;

·       Defenseman of the Season – chosen by the fanbase

·       Forward of the Season – chosen by the fanbase

·       Player of the Season – chosen by the fanbase

·       Supporters Club Unsung Hero – chosen by the Chairman of the Supporters Club

·       The Club’s Unsung Hero – chosen by Aaron Nell

·       Player’s Player of the Season – chosen by the players

·       Coach’s Player of the Season – chosen by Aaron and Richie

·       The Dave Richardson Trophy (Best British Player) – chosen by Richie

This is a very popular event, it is run by the Supporters Club, and tickets can only be purchased from the Supporters Club desk. Ticket prices are £48.00 for an adult and £25.00 for a child (a smaller plate and a different menu that is appropriate for a child 12 and under). Supporters Club members get a discount and will pay £38.00.

If you would like to stay the night at the Hilton hotel, then use the discount code GWILD6 on the Hilton website and this will give you a saving on the normal published price. The code is valid until 13th March, it’s £69 for a single, and £79 for a double or twin (limited twin rooms available) and the price includes breakfast.

The booking process will open on Saturday, 21st February, but members of the Supporters Club can secure their tickets now by responding to the SC News email that was sent on February 13th. We know from previous years that there are always people who forget and try to book at the last minute, so to avoid disappointment, it’s recommended to get your tickets early, as it will sell out.

Details of the menu, raffle prizes, sponsors, start times, dress code and how to vote in the award categories will be shared on the Supporters Club and Wildcats socials, and we will also be using the Supporters Club WhatsApp channel. There is a lot of information to message, so keep checking back and keep an eye on those socials.

We look forward to seeing you there, and if you have any questions about the event, please speak to a member of the Supporters Club on game night or email supporters.club@swindonwildcats.com.
