September has been a very busy month, we’ve got everything going and now it’s time to promote our events and competitions, engage with the fanbase and do everything we can to support the Wildcats.
There really is something for everyone. The Kit Grid and Pet Grids are attracting new sponsors and the first release will be on the website very soon. The ceremonial puck drop is now a regular part of our Saturday night and we’ve recently launched our very first VIP Experience – it’s your chance to go inside the locker room, hear some stories of what goes on and then sit on the players’ bench for the warm-up. We’re not fully booked on anything, but interest is high, so if this tickles your fancy or you’re interested in gifting a puck drop, a Kit Grid sponsorship or a VIP Experience, then come and speak to the Supporters Club and we’ll tell you all about it. And don’t forget our postbox, that’s right, we launched our mail delivery service in September and have successfully delivered cards and packages to Plewsey and Bully for their birthdays, and a huge pile of good luck cards to Tyler Perre. You can post anything you want (within reason) with the next deliveries scheduled for Renny and Deano who celebrate their birthdays this week.
September has been a busy month but there’s plenty more to look forward to in October. It’s the first full month of our Events calendar and it all starts next week with the first of 3 Aaron Talks Tactics.
So what is Aaron Talks Tactics (ATT)? Quite simply it’s an exclusive invite to listen to Aaron talk hockey. You could call it ‘an evening with…’ but the focus is all about our team and what the team is doing to prepare for the upcoming games. Aaron normally shares video of past games, he talks about positional play and how the team is approaching the next game. If you’re into your hockey and have a burning question for our coach, then you need to get yourself along to an ATT.
The first ATT is next Thursday, 9th October in Studio 2 and it starts at 6pm. We always hold it on a training night so there’s a chance any of the players could join in – unlikely, but you never know! Only Supporters Club members can attend, so if you haven’t joined the club, there is still plenty of time to pay your membership fee. We’re halfway through the early-bird offer meaning you can join for £10, and it’s not just the ATT you can attend, there are discounts on the ‘soon-to-be-announced’ tenpin bowling evening plus the infamous End of Season Awards Night which is being held in April.
So much to talk about, and there’s plenty more to come this season. If you’re not a member and want to join then all you need to do is click Swindon Wildcats | Supporters Club. It’s easy, so join up and let’s have some fun together.
