On Saturday the Swindon Wildcats are back home after their weekend away in Dumfries. They face the Hull Seahawks for the first time this season. Here is a player from each team to watch.
Swindon Wildcats: Aaron Nell
Player-coach Aaron Nell returned to the Wildcats lineup last weekend and immediately impacted the team. On Sunday he scored two big goals including the game-winning tip-in goal to lead the Cats to an important two points on the road. Aaron is also closing in on getting 1250 points for the Wildcats continuing to extend his all-time point tally for the Cats. Aaron has also had an instant impact on the powerplay by scoring a big powerplay goal on Sunday.
Hull Seahawks: Owen Sobchak
Sobchak currently leads the league in points with 38 in just 16 games, which is an average of over two points every game. Sobchak is familiar with the NIHL as he was previously at the Bristol Pitbulls before moving to the Seahawks and becoming their focal player. He currently plays on a line with Svec who is also familiar with Wildcats fans being a former Cat. Sobchak is an elite playmaker who has got 27 assists already this season. He may only be 5ft’7 but it works in his favour to move around on the ice and create plays that other players can’t. The Wildcats need to try and keep him quiet on Saturday.
