Successful Partnership Delivers Community Impact and Commercial Value
A successful partnership between Designer Outlet Swindon and the Bespoke Guardians Swindon Wildcats has delivered a strong combination of brand visibility, community engagement, and meaningful local impact.
The collaboration brought together sport and retail to create a well-rounded sponsorship package, extending beyond traditional advertising to deliver tangible benefits across multiple areas.
As part of the partnership, Designer Outlet Swindon benefited from prominent ice rink advertising, ensuring consistent visibility throughout the season and strong association with match night activity. The Wildcats also hosted a VIP hospitality experience, used by the Designer Outlet as a reward and recognition for the hard work of their staff.
A key focus of the partnership was community involvement. The Wildcats allocated 100 match night tickets across the season for use by underprivileged groups and local charities, helping to provide access to live sport for those who may not otherwise have the opportunity. In addition, a mascot appearance at Designer Outlet events and ongoing promotion across Wildcats media channels helped to further extend the partnership’s reach.
Designer Outlet Swindon supported the collaboration through on-site promotion, including poster displays and retail space activation where available, as well as offering exclusive benefits to Wildcats supporters and incorporating the club into key Outlet events.
Victoria Hart Partnership Manager at the Swindon Wildcats, said:
“This partnership is a great example of how we can work together to deliver both strong commercial value and meaningful community impact. It’s been great working with Charlotte and fantastic to see the engagement from supporters and the positive experiences created through the collaboration.”
Charlotte King, Marketing Manager at Designer Outlet Swindon, added:
“We’re incredibly proud of what this partnership has achieved, not only in terms of strengthening our brand presence but in the genuine impact it has had within the local community. Working alongside the Wildcats has allowed us to connect with new audiences, reward our team, and support important local causes in a meaningful way. Seeing families and community groups enjoy memorable experiences through this collaboration has been particularly special.”
Julia’s House Corporate Fundraiser, Jo Common, comments:
“Designer Outlet Swindon has been such wonderful supporters of Julia’s House over recent years, and it is thanks to support like this, that we can continue to provide specialist care to children with life-limiting and complex conditions, and support for their families. Thanks to the Outlets' partnership with the Wildcats, many of our Julia’s House children and families have enjoyed some fabulous nights out experiencing the incredible atmosphere at a Wildcats game. So thank you to both the Outlet and the Wildcats, for helping to give our children and families the magical moments and memories every child and family deserves.”
The partnership has proven highly successful, delivering meaningful impact across both commercial and community objectives. While the campaign concludes, both parties remain committed to maintaining a positive relationship and exploring opportunities to collaborate again in the future.
