Swindon Wildcats fell to a late overtime goal against the Bracknell Bees in Berkshire on Sunday night. Ed Knaggs was on hand to fire past Renny Marr with just four seconds left in overtime, as the Wildcats completed a three-point weekend to finish their November games.

Midway through the first period the Bees were able to score their first of the evening when Brendan Baird wound up a shot from the point and through Renny Marr, with the assists going to Ryan Watt and David Millner. Less than two minutes later the hosts had doubled their advantage. With Max Birbraer in the penalty box, the Bees PP created a strong chance down low which Shaun Thompson was able to convert.

Ed Knaggs turned provider when his shot fell into the path of Thompson who was able to slam the puck over the line. The Wildcats began to press and at 14:08 they had converted when the top line linked up on a rush. Max Birbraer and Aaron Nell linked up to find Eddie Bebris skating through the middle of the ice who was able to slide the puck under the legs of Skinns in the Bees goal. In the final minute of the period the Wildcats drew level, through an unlikely source, when Neil Liddiard blasted the puck home from the point. The assists being given to Toms Rutkis and Jan Kostal, as the period finished 2-2.

The second period was the kind of hockey where neither side wanted to give anything up and chances were a bit few and far between. With neither side finding a way to get the go ahead goal the buzzer sounded with game currently still tied at 2-2 after 40 minutes.

Into the final period and it was the visitors who would get the go-ahead goal early in the period. When at 41.24 Max Birbraer sealed the Cats third of the evening when he skated through and when everyone else seemed to switch off, fire the puck through the legs of Skinns.

However midway through the period, the Bees scored another two quick goals. Aidan Doughty first tying the game up at 47:46 before young Zach Milton gave the Bees the lead at 49:43. The pressure was beginning to mount on the Wildcats and the clock was slowly ticking away. However, at 57:58 the play that would take the game to overtime happened.

Adam Harding fed the puck to the point where Tyler Plews ripped a shot only for it fly off the post and right to the stick of Eddie Bebris who slammed the puck home and force the game to go into the sudden death period.

Early in overtime the Wildcats had a great chance to win it when Chris Jones sped down the left wing and ripped a shot only for it come back off the post and underneath Skinns, before with just 4 seconds left of the game the Bees scored.

Roman Malinik found room and flicked the puck across to the side of the net where Ed Knaggs fired the puck into the top corner of the goal and take the bonus point for the Bees.
