The nights are drawing in, and the feel of Christmas is in the air. Here at the Swindon Wildcats preparations are well underway for the visit of Santa and we’re delighted to announce that our game against the Invicta Dynamos on Saturday 15th Decemberwill be our annual Christmas game!

Every year we all get in the Christmas spirit at a game and this year will be no different. Keep reading below for a full breakdown of everything that will be going on during the festive night at the Wildcats.

Teddy Bear Toss – Having already announced this would be our teddy bear toss night, it’s wonderful to know it’ll be mixed in with such a Christmassy night. Remember, every Teddy you throw will be donated to Foster Care with Swindon, which you can read more about at the bottom of this article.

Kids Go Free – Yes that’s right, our ever popular Kids go Free rink side offer is back and with Christmas so close, it’s the ideal time to have a night at the hockey at a much cheaper price than normal! We want to see as many kids in the rink as possible, call the office or visit the shop to get your KGF tickets!!

Cupcakes – You read it right! Kimmi’s Cakes will be in the rink as well selling some wonderful cupcakes for you to enjoy whilst watching the game. On top of these superb cakes you’ll also be helping to raise money, with 10% of each sale going to Swindon Wildcats in the Community!

Christmas Jumpers –  We love nothing more than looking over to the balcony and seeing the varied amounts of Wildcat jerseys from years gone by on display, however for one game only we’ll let you leave your red and white jersey at home. We want to see as many festive Christmas Jumpers as possible, with Christmas Jumper day landing the day before it’s the perfect excuse to wear yours two days in a row!

With all this planned the game promises to be a must see, so grab your tickets now from the website and make sure you tell all your friends about the festive celebrations for 2018 with the Swindon Wildcats.

Foster With Swindon:

–        Swindon Borough Council is looking for more foster carers to offer support and guidance to children in Swindon and help keep them in the borough

–        Foster care is often the best way to make sure a child is safe and cared for if they can no longer stay with their family, which can happen for a number of reasons.

–        Often, support and guidance at the right time will set a child on a positive path through their life and open them up to experiences they never would have had otherwise.

–        The council wants to encourage more people to find out more about becoming a foster carer, the different types of fostering, what they’re looking for in a foster family and what the carers will get in return.

–        There are many ways people can get in touch. To find out more, visit the council website, call the team for a chat on 07917 503447 or chat to the team at the game on Saturday 15th December.
