Swindon Wildcats are delighted to announce that Toms Rutkis will be returning to the team with the same arrangement as 18/19 with the Cardiff Devils.
As before, Toms will be predominantly be a Devil, but when schedules allow he will ice alongside the Wildcats in the new national league.
Since graduating from OHA in 2016, Toms has played in a instrumental role for the Wildcats. This led him to seal a two-way contract with Andrew Lord and the Devils in 2017.
Speaking after confirming the two- way arrangement for another season Head Coach Aaron Nell said:
Having this agreement with Cardiff for Toms for 19/20 really benefits everyone. You can all see how much Toms has improved in the last couple of years and when he plays for us he makes a big impact on the ice.
Heʼs quick and skilful, but heʼs also been working on his physical side of the game as well. He goes to the net and scores the scrappy
goals but thatʼs what we want.
I look forward to welcoming him back to our lineup over the course of the season.
