The Swindon Wildcats Supporters Club are pleased to announce the sponsors for the End of Season Awards ceremony that is being held at the Hilton Hotel on Friday 13th April.
Every year there are 7 awards; 3 are awarded by the Supporters Club, 3 are awarded by the Club and there is a special award ‘The Dave Richardson Trophy’ that is chosen by Aaron and awarded to the top British player. Previous winners of the prestigious Dave Richardson trophy have included Stevie Lyle and Aaron Nell and last year’s winner Super Stevie Whitfield.
For the last few weeks members of the Supporters Club have been voting for their favourite D-Man, Forward and Player of the Year. Aaron has chosen his winners for the Coach’s Player of the Year and Most Improved Player of the Year, and the team have been asked to vote for the Player’s Player of the Year. All awards will be presented this Friday by guests of the sponsors at the End of Season party.
Speaking about the awards, Supporters Club Chairman Paul Norbury commented “Sponsors are an integral part of any sports business, they contribute in so many different ways and do a wonderful job for the Club and I am sure many fans understand and appreciate this. I am therefore extremely grateful to the businesses and individuals who have agreed to sponsor these awards, it means a lot to the Supporters Club”.
