Swindon Wildcats would like to reiterate our thanks to the fans within the crowd who have supported the team through sponsorship ahead of the 18/19 season. Whilst it’s fantastic to have so many businesses associating themselves with the team, without the fans there would be no Wildcats so to have so many fans sponsoring players this year is superb!

Firstly, as announced earlier in the summer Melanie & Nigel Beckett will once again be back to support Floyd Taylor for the new season. Another familiar set of names are also backing their favourite player with The Glenister Family backing Stevie Whitfield for another season, alongside his associate sponsor Annette Duffy who is also returning as a sponsor.

Ben Nethersell will once again be sponsored by Fran Whittock & Shane Dunne. “Its our absolute pleasure to be the sponsors of Ben again, it was such an easy decision to renew. Ben is a talented, valued, hard-working member of the team and we can’t wait to get back supporting him for another year, hopefully seeing him take another step forward. The season cannot come around quick enough – we are both looking forward to getting back to planning our lives around hockey again!”. Fran & Shane added.

Max Birbraer has also been snapped up by the ever-loyal Neil & Vicky Davidson who have supported the club for many years and had star players such as Max and Jonas Hoog. “We were very pleasantly surprised when they got the news that Max would be returning to the Wildcats for another season and didn’t take long to decide to renew their sponsorship of him for a third year.  Following on from last season’s successes they’re looking forward to another great year for Maxand the Cats.”           Jim & Sue Power are also returning, but this time sponsoring new arrival Tyler Plews as he embarks on his first season in Swindon and hoping to make a big impression on the Wildcats. Edgars Bebris has this time been snapped up a big fan, Sally Norbury, who we’re assured will be loudly cheering Eddie from the stands every week!

Lastly, the children are the future of the club and we have many kids with their names on our players this year with Jack Hammond coming back to sponsor Renny Marr. Sam Bullas will proudly be sponsored by Shannon & Harry Priest again and lastly, but by no means least, only last week we announced Theo and Stephanie Roderick would be backing Michael Crisp & Tyler Perrefor the new campaign.

Swindon Wildcats commercial manager Sally Price said:

“We are absolutely thrilled to see so many fans sponsoring our players again this season, the support just blows my mind and it increases every year. On the behalf of the whole team here at the Swindon Wildcats I’d like to thank all of you for your continued support and for turning up to every game and cheering on your Cats, you are what makes the club thrive and continue to grow year upon year.”
