Swindon Wildcats 2 are delighted to confirm that Harry Llewellyn & Corey Herbert will be part of the side for the upcoming campaign which kicks off on 21st September where we travel to Oxford to take on the Bristol Pitbulls.

Harry and Corey both played big parts in the NIHL2 side last season and will be key members of Lee Richardson’s roster for the 19/20 campaign.

19-year-old Harry Llewellyn has spent his junior career split between the junior academies in Swindon and Oxford before joining the Okanagan Hockey Academy in 2016. After two years at OHA he moved into the NIHL2 side last year where he contributed 6 points in 28 games.

Head Coach Lee Richardson added: “Harry will bring great versatility to the side. He is a very smart young hockey player and has good size for his age. His all round game is great and he will be a big leader on the ice for us this year.”

Meanwhile, Corey, has spent his entire career in the Swindon junior system and made his NIHL2 debut in the 17-18 season. Last season he iced solely for the NIHL2 Wildcats playing 27 games and contributing one point.

“Corey is Mr Reliable. He does his work quietly but efficiently. As a D man he does so much work on the ice that goes without being seen and that is what we want from him. He’ll have a role to play with us and I’m thrilled he’ll be on my team for this season.

I’m excited to work with both Harry and Corey this season and I think they’ll be key for the defensive unit we have for the new season.

The roster is now up to 7 with Harry and Corey joining: Jay Warren, Mason Lipsey, Ethan Easton, Reed Sayers and Jake Williams on Richardson’s Roster.
