1.    What is the 200 Club?

The 200 Club is a monthly competition for fans who want to show their support for the Swindon Wildcats. The proceeds are part of the fund-raising initiatives run by the Supporters Club, who also manage the match night competitions and organize events for fans to get involved with the hockey club.

 

The 200 Club has been running since 2016, it’s a monthly draw and it runs throughout the whole year, not just in the hockey season.

 

2.    How does it work?

 

If you want to join the 200 Club then you’ll need to buy a number. There are only 200 numbers available, and you keep the same number each month for as long as you’re in the Club.

 

3.    How much does it cost to play

 

Each number is £5.00 and you can have as many numbers as you want. Payments are made by a standing order to the Supporters Club bank account, so you’ll need to set this up yourself.

 

4.    What are the prizes

 

The total prize fund is 50% of the money we collect each month and this is divided into 3 cash prizes. This is distributed as follows;

·      1st prize wins 60% of the prize fund

·      2nd prize wins 25% of the prize fund

·      3rd prize wins 15% of the prize fund

 

The prize money is paid direct to the winners bank account, normally within 48 hours. The other 50% is the ‘profit’ from the competition and this is made available to the hockey club to support their costs of managing the team.

5.    Can anyone play

Yes anyone can play. The 200 Club is managed by the Supporters Club but it is open to everyone. You do not need to be a member of the Supporters Club to play.

 

6.    How is the winner chosen?

Since there can only be a maximum of 200 numbers in the draw the chance of winning a prize is relatively high. Please remember that only ‘paid for’ numbers are entered in the draw so if all 200 numbers were sold then your odds will be 200/1.

 

Winners are chosen at random by an online spinning wheel but the winners could equally be chosen by a number generator or the old-fashioned way of drawing a number from a sealed bag.

 

7.    When does the draw take place?

The draw will normally take place mid-month so it’s a good idea to set your standing order up to pay in the first week of a new month to ensure your number is entered into that month’s draw.

 

The winners will be notified by email it will also be sent to all 200 Club players and there will be a link to watch the draw. The draw could also take place on a match night or at a Supporters Club event.

 

8.    How to join

The easiest way to join is to talk to the Supporters Club on a match night or send an email with your contact details to supporters.club@swindonwildcats.com. You will then need to choose a number from the numbers available set up a standing order and then once your payment has been made your number will be entered into the next monthly draw.
